Error 607: Restart the game

Fix stale Rust sessions by fully exiting Rust, rebooting, and relaunching cleanly.

Error 607 is usually triggered by a stale Rust session.

It can also happen after a crash.

In most cases, a full Rust exit + reboot fixes it.

🚪 Fully exit Rust

• Close Rust.

• Wait 10 seconds.

If Rust is still running in the background, end it in Task Manager.

🔄 Reboot

• Restart your PC.

This clears stuck handles and hooks.

🎮 Launch Rust cleanly

• Open Steam.

• Launch Rust.

• Wait for the main menu.

▶️ Retry the loader

• Close Rust.

• Run the loader again.

• Disable overlays that can force injection (recording, FPS, performance tools).

• If it still fails, contact support with your loader logs.
