Enable Windows Exploit Protection

This is required for ESP to show.

Enable it in both tabs: System settings + Program settings.

🛡️ Open Windows Security

Open Windows Security.

Use Start menu search and select Windows Security from the results.

🧭 Go to App & browser control

In the left menu, open App & browser control.

⚙️ Open exploit protection settings

In the Exploit protection section, click Exploit protection settings.

✅ Enable protections (System settings tab)

In System settings, turn the mitigations On.

For each item:

• If it’s set to On, you’re good.

• Don’t leave any mitigations set to Off.

If Windows shows an override toggle/checkbox for an item, enable the override and set it to On.

✅ Check the Program settings tab

Open the Program settings tab.

Remove any overrides that force mitigations Off.

If you’re unsure, leave program settings at system defaults.

🔄 Restart

Close Windows Security.

Restart your PC to ensure the settings are applied everywhere.

These are system-wide security settings.

Only do this if you understand the tradeoffs.

Exploit Protection

Once you’re done, Windows will enforce exploit mitigations system-wide using the configured defaults.
